Private aviation pickup at New Orleans Lakefront Airport
We meet private and charter arrivals at the FBO terminal at New Orleans Lakefront Airport. Your chauffeur coordinates directly with your aircraft handler or flight crew. After you clear the FBO, your vehicle waits at the curb or on the adjacent ramp-side staging lane. Lakefront Airport sits on the shore of Lake Pontchartrain at 6001 Stars and Stripes Boulevard. It is roughly five miles northeast of the French Quarter.
Lakefront Airport primarily serves general aviation, corporate jets, and charter flights. Scheduled commercial airline service is extremely limited. The airport opened in 1934 and was built on lakefill along the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain. That geography matters during heavy rain and tropical weather, when access roads can flood faster than routes from MSY.
Chauffeur Service New Orleans works with vetted local affiliate operators. Our affiliates know the FBO procedures at Lakefront and the fastest routes to downtown hotels, the convention center, and the Warehouse District.
From-$ pricing for Lakefront Airport transfers
Sedan service from Lakefront Airport starts at $130 for Lakeview and Metairie. French Quarter and Central Business District transfers start at a written flat rate. Warehouse District and Mid-City start at a written flat rate. Garden District and Uptown start at a written flat rate. These rates include FBO meet and baggage assistance. Gratuity is additional unless your company account includes it.
SUV pricing typically runs forty to fifty percent above sedan rates. Sprinter and coach quotes depend on vehicle size and luggage count. All prices assume FBO curbside pickup during standard hours. Additional stops, late-night requests, or garage parking may add surcharges.

Times are estimates for normal traffic. Rush hour on I-10 westbound toward downtown runs roughly 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. on weekdays. Lakefront events along Lakeshore Drive can also slow access.
Honest limitations at Lakefront Airport
Lakefront Airport has no scheduled commercial airline service comparable to MSY. If your flight diverts or your charter cancels, rerouting to MSY is often the only option. During thunderstorms or tropical systems, the low-lying airport property and surrounding roads can experience standing water more quickly than higher ground in Metairie. We monitor conditions, but we cannot guarantee access when the city closes lakefront roads for flooding or special events along Lakeshore Drive.
