What wedding and event transportation covers
Wedding and event transportation is chauffeured service planned around a fixed program: a ceremony time, a reception start, a gala entrance or a ball that does not wait for late arrivals. We arrange the couple's car, rides for parents and the wedding party, and group vans that move guests between hotels, the ceremony and the reception. The same planning applies to rehearsal dinners, Mardi Gras balls, charity galas, graduations and milestone birthdays.
Every booking starts from the timeline. Tell us where each person needs to be and when, and dispatch builds the vehicle schedule around it, with the pickups ordered so the people who must arrive first actually do.
A New Orleans wedding day, in vehicles
- Getting ready. A sedan or S-Class collects the couple from a hotel in the French Quarter, the CBD or the Garden District, timed so photos can start on schedule.
- The ceremony. Churches in the Garden District and Uptown, St. Louis Cathedral on Jackson Square, courtyards in the Quarter and gardens in City Park all have their own approach. In the Quarter the car stops at the nearest open cross street or hotel entrance, since many blocks close to traffic.
- Guests between venues. A Mercedes Sprinter carries up to fourteen guests from the ceremony to a reception in the Warehouse District, on St. Charles Avenue or at a lakefront venue, and can run a second loop if needed.
- The second line. Many New Orleans couples leave the ceremony or reception behind a brass band. The cars do not join the parade; they meet the couple and guests at the end point, which is agreed in advance.
- The send-off. The couple's car waits at the reception for the exit, and late-night rides return guests to their hotels.
Choosing vehicles
For the couple, the Mercedes S-Class is the usual choice: a quiet rear cabin and room for a dress. Parents and grandparents are comfortable in an E-Class sedan or a Cadillac Escalade, which seats up to six. Wedding parties and out-of-town guests move best in a Sprinter. Hourly rates are $120 for a sedan, $150 for an SUV, $230 for an S-Class and $240 for a Sprinter, each with a three-hour minimum. Most wedding bookings are hourly, because the car stays with the couple or the group for the length of the program.
Planning notes for event dates
Spring and fall are the busiest wedding seasons in the city, and they overlap with French Quarter Festival, Jazz Fest and the fall convention calendar. Mardi Gras season closes St. Charles Avenue, Canal Street and parts of Uptown on parade days, so a Garden District ceremony during Carnival needs a route planned around the parade schedule. Reserve vehicles as soon as the venues are fixed, and send the final timeline a week before the date so dispatch can confirm each pickup.
For a single ride between two addresses, point-to-point service is simpler. Guests flying in can be met at MSY with an airport transfer, and group logistics are covered on the Sprinter van service page.
An honest limitation
We cannot stop where the city does not allow it. Jackson Square, Bourbon Street and many French Quarter blocks are pedestrian zones at times, and parades and second lines close streets with little warning. Build a few minutes of walking into the plan, and give the chauffeur the phone number of someone on the ground who can move the group to the agreed corner.
