What Convention Shuttle Service Covers

Convention shuttle service provides repeated loops or fixed routes between hotels, the convention center, and off-site venues. We coordinate minibuses, coach buses, or sprinter vans based on group size and schedule. Service can run for a few hours or across multiple days.

Who Uses Convention Shuttles in New Orleans

Medical associations, oil and gas expos, and technology conferences use shuttles during events at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Corporate groups hosting hospitality suites at hotels along Canal Street and Poydras Street need loop service for attendees. Wedding planners moving guests between ceremony and reception sites also book shuttle blocks. Demand peaks during Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, and major convention weeks.

Where We Operate and When

Our dispatch team coordinates convention shuttle service through vetted local affiliate operators who know downtown New Orleans. Routes typically connect the Convention Center with hotels in the Central Business District, Warehouse District, and French Quarter. The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center spans six blocks along the Mississippi River and offers 1.1 million square feet of exhibit space. Downtown New Orleans has roughly 25,000 hotel rooms within a few miles of the center.

How Pricing Works

A twenty-four-passenger shuttle for a four-hour block is from $550. A full-size motorcoach for a four-hour block is from $950. Multi-day contracts and multiple vehicles receive custom quotes. Rates include the vehicle, driver, fuel, and standard mileage. Parking permits, police escorts, and extended hours are billed separately.

An Honest Limitation

Convention shuttle service requires a fixed schedule and passenger manifest. Last-minute additions may not fit if the vehicle is full. French Quarter street closures during parades and special events can force route changes, so we build backup plans in advance.

How a convention shuttle is planned

  1. Dates and hours. Which days attendees move, and the busy windows: the morning arrival at the Convention Center, the lunch break and the evening return.
  2. Hotels on the loop. Most programs connect hotels along Canal Street, Poydras Street and the Warehouse District with the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on Convention Center Boulevard.
  3. Headcount per wave. The size of each wave decides whether one Sprinter on a loop is enough or several vehicles are needed at peak times.
  4. Off-site events. Dinners, receptions at the National WWII Museum or a riverfront venue, and airport runs at the end of the show are added as separate movements.

Why New Orleans shows need a plan

The Convention Center stretches along the Mississippi River for more than half a mile, so the right door matters. Traffic on Tchoupitoulas Street and Convention Center Boulevard backs up at the same moments attendees want to leave, and when a show overlaps with a Saints game, Mardi Gras parades or Jazz Fest, the streets between the CBD and the French Quarter close in sections. Fixed schedules and named pickup points are what keep a shuttle running on time through all of that.
