What point-to-point service is
Point-to-point service is a private, one-way ride from one address to another at a price quoted before you book. There is no meter and no hourly minimum: the chauffeur collects you, drives the route, and the trip ends at the drop-off. It suits hotel-to-restaurant rides, office-to-courthouse runs, a trip across the lake to Mandeville or Covington, and transfers to the airport or the cruise terminals.
What it costs
One-way rides start at $130 in an executive sedan and $160 in an SUV. Longer trips are priced by distance, and every quote is confirmed in writing before you book. Mercedes S-Class and Sprinter one-way trips are quoted individually. For examples, a sedan from MSY to Metairie starts at $190, and a sedan from New Orleans to Baton Rouge starts at $370; all published routes and their prices are on the popular routes page and the rates page.
Common one-way trips around New Orleans
- Across downtown. From a hotel on Canal Street to a dinner in the Garden District, or from the Warehouse District to a meeting on Poydras Street.
- Suburbs to the city. Metairie, Kenner, Gretna and Marrero into the CBD and back, avoiding a search for downtown parking.
- Across the lake. Over the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway to Mandeville and Covington, or along I-10 and the Twin Span toward Slidell.
- Out of town. Baton Rouge for the Capitol or LSU, and Gulfport on the Mississippi coast.
- Airports and the port. Rides to MSY, Lakefront Airport and the cruise terminals on the riverfront.
How booking works
- Enter the pickup address, drop-off address, date and time in the reservation form, or call dispatch.
- Choose a vehicle: a sedan seats up to three with three bags, an SUV up to six with six bags.
- Dispatch reviews the reservation before the date and confirms the details.
- The chauffeur arrives ten minutes early, and dispatch confirms the meeting point.
When hourly is the better choice
If the trip has several stops, a wait in the middle or an uncertain end time, an hourly charter is usually simpler and often cheaper than stacking one-way rides. A good rule: more than two stops, book by the hour. Additional stops and waiting time on a one-way booking are billed separately.
An honest limitation
A quoted one-way price assumes the route and timing in the reservation. Parade closures, a stadium event letting out or a closure on the Causeway can lengthen a trip, and a change of destination after pickup is priced as a new route.
