Cost for this route
A sedan from MSY to Lakeview starts at $130. An SUV starts at $160. The rate covers a one-way transfer to homes and businesses near Lake Pontchartrain, City Park, and Harrison Avenue. The quoted fare includes the vehicle, driver, fuel, flight tracking, and curbside meet-and-greet. Tolls are covered on routes where they apply. Gratuity is optional and not included. If you request meet-and-greet inside the terminal, any parking fee the driver pays is passed through at cost. Final pricing depends on vehicle class, luggage, passenger count, and time of day.
Route and roads
The standard route follows Interstate 10 East to Interstate 610 East, then exits at Canal Boulevard or West End Boulevard. Harrison Avenue is the main commercial strip in Lakeview, with restaurants and shops east of City Park. Some drivers use West End Boulevard or Robert E. Lee Boulevard to reach lakefront addresses. Lakeview sits along the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain and is adjacent to New Orleans City Park, which houses the New Orleans Museum of Art.
Drive time and traffic
Plan on 25 to 45 minutes from MSY to Lakeview under normal conditions. Morning rush on I-10 eastbound runs 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Evening congestion on I-610 and I-10 eastbound can last from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Events at City Park, such as Voodoo Music + Arts Experience or Celebration in the Oaks, add local traffic.
When to add a buffer
Add 15 to 30 minutes during weekday rush, City Park events, and lakefront festivals. Heavy rain can flood low-lying streets near the lakefront and slow travel. If you are heading to a flight, allow extra time because I-10 westbound toward MSY also backs up in the evening.
Vehicle options
A sedan handles one to three passengers with standard luggage. An SUV carries up to six passengers and is useful for families with outdoor gear or multiple bags. Larger groups can request a sprinter van or minibus quote. Child seats and ADA vehicles are available on request.
Service notes
