Cost for this route
A sedan from MSY to the Warehouse District starts at $130. An SUV starts at $160. The rate covers a one-way transfer to hotels, galleries, and the convention center area. The quoted fare includes the vehicle, driver, fuel, flight tracking, and curbside meet-and-greet. Tolls are covered on routes where they apply. Gratuity is optional and not included. If you request meet-and-greet inside the terminal, any parking fee the driver pays is passed through at cost. Final pricing depends on vehicle class, luggage, passenger count, and time of day.
Route and roads
Drivers normally follow Interstate 10 East and exit at Camp Street or Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, then take surface streets into the Warehouse District. Julia Street, Magazine Street, and Tchoupitoulas Street are the main arteries through the district. If the Camp exit is backed up, your driver may continue to the Canal Street or Poydras Street exit and circle back. The Warehouse District, also called the Arts District, centers on Julia Street and is home to the National WWII Museum.
Drive time and traffic
The trip usually takes 22 to 40 minutes from terminal to hotel. Morning eastbound congestion on I-10 runs from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Evening delays start around 4:00 p.m. and last until 6:30 p.m. Convention load at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center adds volume to the Camp and Julia Street exits.
When to add a buffer
Add 15 to 30 minutes during weekday rush, major conventions, and event nights at the nearby Smoothie King Center or Caesars Superdome. Mardi Gras parades along St. Charles and Canal can also affect Warehouse District access. If you are heading to a cruise at the Port of New Orleans, build in extra time for terminal security.
Vehicle options
A sedan fits one to three passengers with standard luggage. An SUV carries up to six passengers and works well for groups with convention booths or cruise luggage. Larger groups can request a sprinter van or minibus quote. Child seats and ADA vehicles are available on request.
Service notes
Chauffeur Service New Orleans coordinates Warehouse District rides through vetted local affiliates. We track your flight for the first hour of delay. After that, waiting charges may apply. The consolidated MSY terminal opened in November 2019 and funnels all arrivals through one exit area.
